Amy is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who completed nursing school at Ventura College, Ventura CA.   Working several years as a Psychiatric Nurse, she was inspired to advance her career and become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner after encountering families who found it challenging to find sufficient mental health care for their children.  She completed her Bachelor of Nursing program from the University of Rhode Island and attended the University of Saint Joseph in Hartford, CT to complete her Master’s program as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.   Her career includes experience in several diverse settings, including Inpatient psychiatric care, Outpatient services, Intensive Outpatient Programs and Psychiatric Emergency Services.

Amy has a passion for providing holistic and team-based health care.  She works in conjunction with the patient, the family and all members of the treatment team to encourage collaboration to develop treatment goals and ultimately improve overall outcomes.  She is an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider and currently working on her Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy training.

In her spare time Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.  She enjoys attending her children’s sports activities including Ice Hockey, Track and Cross-Country.   She is actively involved in her community, volunteering with the New London County 4-H as a camp nurse annually.   At home she enjoys spending quality time with her family and pets.  Her hobbies include reading, traveling, gardening and baking desserts.
