Speech & Language
At Grove School, we prioritize the development of effective communication skills. While most students thrive in natural learning settings, and can apply pro-social communication and relational skills, some—such as those on the Autism Spectrum—may benefit from a more direct approach that systematically breaks down and teaches the intricacies of social communication.
Our Speech Therapy services, led by a licensed and ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist, cater to qualifying students with identified communication and social deficits. Our Speech Therapy Services encompass a wide range of areas including articulation (speech production), language development (expressive and receptive), fluency, voice, language processing, pragmatic language, and social cognition. Grove’s Speech Therapy services provide comprehensive support including assessment and diagnosis, tailored treatment plans (direct, indirect, individual, small group), and collaboration with the student’s treatment team and teachers.
