Grove School is proud to be a participating member of the National Honor Society. Through our chapter we promote and recognize distinguished students who excel as active learners and members of the community. These students have demonstrated specific excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Our chapter of the NHS inducts members twice a year, during ceremonies in the Fall and Spring, respectively. Students interested in pursuing membership must submit two letters of recommendation, a personal essay, and a formal application to be considered for induction.
Members are required to uphold the standards of both Grove and the National Honor Society, via their actions both inside and outside of the classroom. Throughout the year, students will complete a required number of community service hours, while also participating and coordinating several fun service trips and exciting fundraisers. This past year included a Valentines Day fundraiser for the Mended Little Hearts organization and featured a trip to the Ronald McDonald House in New Haven, CT.
